In addition to Lone Star Fastener's, ability to manufacture a wide variety of commercial, specialty and exotic alloy fasteners, Lone Star also has the capability to produce custom fasteners from the customer’s unique specifications and drawings, providing the client with the highest quality products and customer service available in the industry.

Our comprehensive in-house fastener and industrial coating services for corrosion prevention feature zinc electroplating, a variety of Fluoropolymer Coating systems, and many others including::

• Zinc electroplating

• PCI 3 and PCI 3 Plus Coating Systems

• SermaGard® coatings

• Whitford Xylan® high performance coatings

• Magnigard Fluoropolymer coatings

• Cadmium plating and other special coatings - Provided by off-
site processors.


Our Industry leading commitment to quality includes an in-house ASTM B –117 compliant Salt Spray Testing Lab to prove the effectiveness of our coating and plating processes. Many customers, including Exxon Mobil, Monsanto, DuPont and Chevron-Texaco utilize our expertise and facilities to develop their internal corrosion protection specifications.

Lone Star’s milling, drilling and thread cutting range capabilities include:
      Roll Threading: ¼” through 3” diameter
      Cut Threading: ¼” through 4” diameter
      CNC Machining through 15” diameter.

Heat Treating and Material testing capabilities include:
      Full Mechanical Testing (Tensile/Proof to 300,000 lbs.)
      Complete Chemical Analysis
      Charpy Impact testing to -320º F
      Salt Spray Testing Per ASTM B -117
      Hardness testing (Rockwell, Brinell, Eddy Current)
      3 Digit heat Code Traceability and access to all Material Test         Reports (MTR) on our web Site.
      New metallurgical examination capability, for accurate
        thickness testing, using state of the art Leica microscope
        with Struers software.
