Lone Star Fasteners, LP, is a licensed applicator of Magni Industries’ Magnigard coatings offering a variety of properties ranging from consistent torque tension to corrosion and bi-metallic protection.
MagniGard is a duplex fastener coating system that combines an inorganic zinc-rich basecoat with an aluminum-rich organic topcoat. The basecoat is a cadmium alternative that provides sacrificial protection of the steel substrate while the topcoat creates a durable barrier.
MagniGard is engineered with integrated friction modifiers to eliminate the need for sealers or post coating lubricants. This feature ensures repeatable torque/tension characteristics in assembly.
MagniGard provides superior product performance in fewer layers than comparable finishes. Fewer processing steps results in improved quality and reduced costs. MagniGard is designed for use on fasteners such as nuts, bolts, and other miscellaneous hardware and has proven to resist corrosion in Salt Spray testing to ASTM B117 in excess of 1000 hours.
